There’s not just one thing to do in preventing wrinkles and signs of aging, everything you do in preventing wrinkles will work, when used in balance. Glowing skin starts from the inside out; the foods you eat can have an influence on how your skin looks.

The idea is to maintain healthy skin that is free of wrinkles, and to do that you would have to engage in almost everything that is considered healthy. The idea for glowing skin is not just maintaining the healthy appearance of your face, but preventing new signs of wrinkles. Unhealthy looking skin appears dry; to prevent the dry look you would need to stay hydrated and use a good daily moisturizer.

To prevent wrinkles on the face you will have to take care of your skin, by actually doing daily and night-time regimens. Avoiding too much sun light will have to be taken into consideration. Also applying sunscreen sometimes will be one of the key ideas to maintaining youthful skin.

And people with dark skin are finally using sunscreen protection, to maintain an even tone complexion. Many people from ages 35 and over may age gracefully, even without trying to reverse the signs of aging. Our lifestyles play a huge part in how we age by our thoughts, what we eat, what we drink and how often, the company we keep, our hobbies, physical exercise regimens, our spirit, how we treat other people, and the products we apply to our skin.

Sunlight is good for the skin, there’s has to be a balance in how much sunlight is useful and how much is damaging to the skin.

Many people that eat a lot of sugary snacks, drinks, and foods, are likely to eventually have signs of wrinkles. The people that are known for having wrinkles are people that frequently drink alcoholic drinks, and people that smoke cigarettes.

Also it’s a known fact that individuals who sit in the sunlight for a prolonged time during hot weather, are causing wrinkles to form quicker due to too much sun exposure.

Tanning beds have the same effect as too much sun exposure, and can eventually cause cancer spots on the face and other parts of the body.

People with dark skin such as African Americans or Latino Americans, can stay in sunlight longer periods of time without getting sun burn. Individuals with brown-shade complexions have to prevent their skin from becoming uneven in tone, by using sunscreen occasionally.

The over use of skin bleaching creams can eventually cause wrinkles, when used obsessively. When using skin lighters it’s a good idea to use a mild formula, make sure it has sunscreen, water and protein as an ingredient.

Things to Avoid in Preventing Wrinkles

Let’s start with caffeine, people that frequently drink caffeine products are likely to get acne, pimples, and eventually wrinkles. Caffeine is not a substance to use in an addictive way, but should be used instead in an occasional manner.

When caffeine is consumed frequently it can become toxic in the body as well as the skin. Products that contain caffeine are coffee, teas, chocolate, and other cocoa bean and coffee bean products, and some sodas. To avoid skin problems it’s better to drink only 1 cup of coffee or tea that contains caffeine, per day (4-6 ounce cup).

Also avoid consuming chocolate daily to prevent toxins forming in the skin that causes signs of aging. Try consuming chocolate and other caffeine products in moderation; maybe consume them once a week or less.

An alternative to coffee is an herbal tea without the caffeine. Green tea is a great antioxidant and it tastes great with pure clover honey and ginseng.

Smoking Cigarettes

If you’re a cigarette smoker, you should know that frequent smoke of any kind on the face is harmful in causing signs of aging. There are toxins in cigarettes as many people already know, if smoking cigarettes can cause lungs to become blackened or cancerous, cigarette smoke can definitely cause wrinkles on the face. This is why some cigarette smokers blow their cigarette smoke away from their face while smoking.
There’s a warning label on packs of cigarettes, letting people know that smoking cigarettes can eventually become harmful to one’s health. There are other alternatives to getting nicotine in the body than just smoking cigarettes. Some doctors of patients are recommending that their patients swap the cigarette smoking with a nicotine patch, or a chewing gum that contains nicotine. There may be health risks also with using other forms of nicotine, but it’s not directly causing wrinkles on the face as cigarette smoke would.

Lack of Rest

Each night get 8-12 hours of sleep, and in the day try and get a nap of 30 or more minutes. When I was working for a temporary agency, I had a one hour lunch-break. I would eat my lunch in about 20-25 minutes. And since I was eating lunch in my car in a parking garage, I would sleep during the remaining time of my lunch- break. I would set my cell to an alarm that would wake me up in about 30-35 minutes. It’s important to get rest whenever you can, and it helps to prevent sleep-deprivation. Most people think and work better when they are well rested, plus it shows on the face. When getting daily rest you will begin to look youthful, with less noticeable stress lines and bags under the eyes.

The Secret Way of Aging Gracefully

Going on a cleanse is very beneficial for the body; it helps you stay mentally alert and physically vibrant.
